PTA Meeting
The PTA will be having their first meeting on Thursday, January 8th, 2004, at 5:30pm sharp. We are asking all parents to attend. On Thursday, January 22, 2004 will be the second meeting at 5:30pm. All Parents and Guardians are encouraged to attend and receive their child's progress report.
Martin Luther King Holiday
School will be closed on Monday, January 19, 2004 in celebration of "The Man and the Holiday
Picture Day
Picture day will be held on Wednesday, January 21st, 2004. All packages are required to be turned in the office on Thursday, January 15, 2004
Daycare Observation
The Daycare Department will be issuing their first observations on Thursday, January 22, 2004 after the PTA meeting. **Observations will not be issued to parents with Delinquent Accounts**
Report Cards
Due to the Holiday on Monday, January 19th, report cards will be issued on Thurs, January 22nd after the PTA meeting of the same day. **Report Cards will not be issued to parents with Delinquent Accounts**
Little Mr. & Mrs. Valentine Sweetheart
The NTA will be hosting the 2nd Annual NTA Little Mr. & Miss. Valentine Sweetheart from January 23rd, 2004-February 10th, 2004. There will be no extensions for the selling of votes after February 10th, 2004.
Black History
The 8th Annual Black History Month Program is scheduled for Friday, February 27th, 2004 at 8:30am.
Read-A-Thon
The NTA Annual Read-A-Thon will begin Friday, January 23rd, 2004 and end on
Reading Enrichment Program
Beginning January 5th all children of the Academy are involved in reading to excel. Everyday staff and children are encouraged to read to enhance language development and comprehension/writing skills. For the pre-schoolers and lower elementary classes parents are encouraged to spend 30 min.-60min sometime during the months of January and February in your child's class reading to them. Please contact your child's teacher to set up the appointment.
